W5DOC – New Repeater

Please join me in welcoming Dock W5DOC to our Texas SADRC Network.  Dock is a SADRC club member and now a part of our SADRC repeater network. His repeater information is as follows: 


Repeater: Yaesu DR2 Fusion 
Frequency: 145.200 (minus offset) 
Digital full-time but capable of FM 
PL 114.8
Location: Seguin, Texas, close to Vogel Elementary School, Hwy 46 and FM725.
Antenna: Hustler G7-144, 45 ft. (6 dBd gain)
Power: 35 watts after duplexers


Docks plan to replace his LMR 400 coax to ½ Hardline. This will significantly enhance the performance, especially on receive.   


Dock further plans on increasing the antenna height to 52 ft.  Once the changes are made, we will make a heat-map to show the coverage on our sadrc.net website.  


Again, we are very excited to have W5DOC as a part of the SADRC Network.  This will enhance the network range significantly along I10 and in the Seguin area.
